What's Miyama-cho
Miyama-cho is called "Kyoto's roof' and has the biggest area in Kyoto Pref.
It located in the middle of Kyoto and is rich in water.
Miyama-cho is literally surrounded by beatiful mountains and nature.
There are 800m to 900m -over mountains such as Mikunigatake, Toukin-yama and Chourouzan mountain and Yura river runs through them.
There are villages along the river and 250 of private houses are old-fashioned thatched roof house.
Kitamura village in Chii area(north area) is designated as'important traditional architectural preservation area' .
It shows a beautiful scenery with mountain view in harmony with private houses.
You can enjoy outdoor sports with season and wild vegetables for spring, sweetfish for summer, matautake mushroom for autumn, peony stew for winter.You can enjoy sesonal scenery.Miyama-cho is a good place.
